It is recommended that all clubs have a designated Child Protection and Vulnerable Adults Officer, particularly if they have Junior Members or Vulnerable Adults within their membership. The designated officer must:
1 Complete an appropriate training course (unless previously recently completed with another organization)
2 Then be Access NI cleared via the IIBA.

Please note that it is not sufficient that for example The Bowling Club rely on the Child Protection Officer appointed in their “Church/Congregation/Community Association”. There must be a separate one for the Bowling Club, who is a member of the Bowling Club.

IIBA Access NI clearance application forms will be available when required.

In 2017 we have been advised that it is “not currently mandatory” to complete the training, however that may change in the future.
